WordPress and WooCommerce.
WordPress VIP partner
I worked in an international development team on client websites. I contributed components and implementations alongside designers, testers and project managers.
Software house specialising in healthcare
I develop and maintain a WordPress Multisite platform for the public sector. I work directly with the client, deliver new features and improve integrations and website reliability.
About me
I start by understanding what a website needs to achieve and who will use it. I help set priorities, choose the technology and plan a solution with future content editing, maintenance and development in mind.
I care about visual detail and ease of use. I combine aesthetics with accessibility, performance and technical SEO. You get a website that looks good, is easy to use and provides a solid technical foundation for your marketing.
WordPress is my main speciality. I also use other technologies when they suit the project’s needs. I implemented E636 Expat Services in Astro; my own portfolio is also static. Content management, budget and plans for growth guide the choice of solution.
Selected experience
Selected problems I’ve solved and implementations I’ve been responsible for.
As the primary developer, I develop and maintain a WordPress Multisite platform for a public institution. I work directly with the client, translating organisational needs into new features and improvements to existing websites.
One of my key tasks was making imports from external data sources more reliable. I analysed and improved the process so that data arrives in WordPress consistently. To handle failures, I built an admin tool for retrying imports and an option for editors to upload an XML file manually.
I also supported a hosting migration, helping diagnose performance issues in the Kubernetes environment after the move. Ongoing development includes custom plugins, REST endpoints for mobile apps, and accessibility and UX improvements.
I implemented the front-end of a custom WordPress theme for an international company’s blog, translating the supplied designs into a responsive, accessible website with optimised assets.
I built a set of ACF Blocks: an article slider, lists of recent posts from a selected category, and CTA sections. Editors could choose the number of articles per row to create different grid layouts.
The editorial team gained the tools to build varied pages independently using reusable components, while keeping the blog’s design consistent.
I implemented the complete front-end of a research initiative website for a UK university. The design combined full-screen sections, video and Lottie animations into an experience resembling an interactive presentation.
I combined Lottie animations with video, using an animated mask to reveal the footage. I refined the synchronisation and made the effect work consistently across browsers.
On mobile, I rearranged the elements and adapted the animations to smaller screens. I replaced section-by-section scrolling with natural page scrolling to make the website comfortable to use on phones.
